Marian Budos -  Slovakian-Australian composer and performer ? guitarist.

Marian was born in 1968 in ?ilina, Slovakia. He studied music at Australian National University, School of Music in Canberra. Marián Budo? is an award-wining composer and his works are performed all over the world. His music was played in several movies, televisions, radio stations, music  festivals, and even at Olympics games 2000 in Sydney. He teaches music at Wanniassa School in Canberra. Marian was also an excellent sportsman.

Emma Dikyova Communication Design Studio is an established practice connecting design, information and various media to communicate with people.  

Our studio not only develops aesthetics, but also conceptual messages that reach and appeal to the relevant target audience and induce responsive behaviour. This involves strategic business and critical thinking, research, creativity, organization and concept development.

 We motivate people to react to information across the whole market, from commercial and private business to the humanitarian sector. 

 Communication design is often used interchangeably with visual arts and more specifically graphic design. Although a vast proportion of our practice involves graphic design, our expertise comprises advertising, ambient media, visual identity design, typography, copy editing, professional writing and web design. We incorporate the complex services of creative industries into commercial business development and promotion. Andrea Keller - Pianist  Andrea was born in Sydney in 1973. Her parents are of Czech origins. She studied at the NSW State Conservatorium of Music High School.

In 2001 Andrea was the inaugural winner of the MCA/Freedman Foundation Jazz Fellowship, enabling her to perform throughout the Czech Republic , Scotland and Ireland (2002, 2003). By now Andrea has released three albums, winning her two ARIA awards and a Bell Award. She has received a number of commissions and at present lectures at the Victorian College of the Arts and Monash University.


Ida Jaro?ová  - Painter of Czech origin. She moved to Australia in 1980 and lives in Blue Mountains NSW. She is specializing in portraits, figurative work and landscape, but experimented in stone carving and other sculptural mediums. Exhibitions - Australia and overseas.


Peter Lik - The international multi - award winning landscape photographer. Peter was born in Melbourne in 1959, to Czech parents. He lives in Cairns. Peter is one of the worlds most inventive and creative landscape photographers. His book "Australia:Images of a Timeless Land" features Peter Lik's finest photographs of Australia. His work has been highly praised with a growing list of awards. The Australian Institute of Professional Photography has honoured him with their highest accolades - with over thirty awards, including Silver, Silver with Distinction, and the coveted Gold.

Ludwig Mlcek - Sculptor, originally from Moravia, Czech Republic. Ludwig was born in 1949 in Brno. He left Czechoslovakia in 1968, came to Australia and settled in the Blue Mountains.

He worked here as a designer and engineer, then he founded a timber supply company which brought him into furniture making. Ludwig dedicates himself to creation custom-made furniture, where fine craftsmanship and original design plays a key part. His first exhibition was held at the National Trust?s Woodford Academy last year and he also participated at ?Sculpture By The Sea? exhibition.


Stanislav Moc ? writer, of Czech origin.

Stanislav was born in 1945 in Prague. He has left Czechoslovakia after year 1968 for Australia. He has spent 5 years as a teacher between aborigines and from this period find an inspiration for his books.Works: "Camp on Alligator River", ?Údolí no?ních papou?k??,  ?Letters from Fitzroy Crossing? and ?Upadlí vlastenci aneb ?eský wake?


Tibor Muráni ?

Painter. Tibor was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He studied art in Bratislava under Professor Sturdik, Drawing, Painting and Etching at Sydney National Art School, Medici Academy of fine Arts Drawing and Painting in Florence , Italy and Kunst Academy of Fine Arts Lithography and Drawing in Düsseldorf , Germany. Tibor lives in Mt. Riverview in the Blue Mountains. He is very successful contemporary artists. Exhibitions - Australia and overseas.


Ivan Polák ? a

Slovakian-Australian sculptor. Completed degree as sculptor and glass designer in architecture in 1969 at the university of Fine and Visual arts in Bratislava. Since 1981 Ivan lives in Sydney, NSW. He won several design competitions and participated at numbers of exhibitions in Australia and in Europe. See also his glass bowl which was bought for Powerhouse Museum collection.

Jaroslav Procházka -

Young sculptor and carver of Czech origins. He studied classical methods of sculpture and carving in the Czech Republic 1994-1998 .Jaroslav is  Bachelor of Fine Arts, NAS, Sydney 2002-2004 .His specialty is stone, wood and metal.He participated at several exhibitions around Australia.Ph. 02 97977279 Mob. 0413 897988 email:


Eugenia Raskopoulos - Photographer. Eugenia was born in Czech Republic. She studied in Perth and Sydney, Australia and Rockport, Maine, USA. She is Candidate PhD College of Fine Arts, University of New Wales. She had numbers of solo exhibitions all over the Australia and tens of Group Exhibitions in Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Greece, and Czech Republic etc. Her works are exhibited in National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Queensland Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Western Australia followed by many other major Galleries in Australia and numbers of private collections all over the world. 


Tom Samek -

Painter, sculptor, printmaker, mural artist, theatre set designer and film animator. Tom was born Prague, Czech Republic, in 1950. He moved to Australia in 1971, following this he lived short time in Austria and then he settled in Tasmania. Extensive exhibition record in  Tasmania and around Australia, since 1971.  International exhibitions in USA, Switzland, Czech Republic, Japan and Singapore.


Eva Sitta - Czech-Australian actress and theatre director. Eva has performed many roles in films, TV and theatre in Australia and the Czech Republic. Her film and TV credits include leading roles in the feature film ?Island? directed by the internationally renowned Paul Cox, ?The Petrov Affair?, ?The Shadow of the Flying Bird?, ?Reflection?, ? The Wall of Death?, ?Eva Eva? etc. Stage credits include main roles in Jean Cocteau?s ?The Human Voice?, ?The Usherette?, ?Queen? in Hamlet etc. She received Best Actress Awards for her film roles in the Czech Republic and Poland. Eva graduated with Master Degree at the Theatre Faculty of Janá?ek Academy of Musical Arts in Brno and is a former member of Theatres of the City of Prague. She has been living and working in Sydney since the early eighties. In 2002 she represented with Paul Cox Australian cinema at The International Film Festival Uherské Hradi?t?, in the Czech Republic. Eva is the artistic director of Minitheatre Productions currently working on Cyanide at Five by Czech-Austrian author Pavel Kohout. Kaya Sulc -

Sculptor and painter. Kaya was born in the Czech Republic and moved to Australia in 1951. He studied at The National Art School in Sydney, currently lives in Cooroy, Queensland. Kaya won numbers of Australian and overseas prices and his works are exhibited in Gallery Collections & Commissions Private Collections in Australia, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland and New Zealand.


Daniela Tomecko

Sculptor and Glass Designer of  Slovak origin. Daniela was born in 1962 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. She  studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Studio "Glass in Architecture" and gained Degree in Art Sculpture and a title 'Academic Sculptor?. Daniela moved to Adelaide in 1991. She took a part on exhibitions in Europe (for ex. Italy, England, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic etc.)  And in US, Japan, India?


Pavel Tomecko

Sculptor and Designer of  Slovak origin. Pavel was born in 1948 in Ro??ava. , Slovakia. studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Studio "Glass in Architecture" He gained a 'Degree in Art Sculpture', a 'Teaching Certificate' and the title "Academic Sculptor".. In 1982 Pavel moved to Adelaide. He developed technique to unite optical glass sculpture with precious Australian Opal. He creates original optical glass sculptures, many with opals, for selected galleries, nationally and internationally and for example series of sculptures for VIP Gifts for The Prime Minister and Cabinet.
